Your art makes me so happy omg. I was wondering what brushes or settings do you use for it? I'd love a tutorial but you don't have to of course ^^;

!!! AHH I AM GLAD IT MAKES U HAPPY FRIEND THAT MAKES ME HAPPY!

hmm this is the setting i’ve been using for my lineart recently

though sometimes for finer lines i’ll just use the ink pen at size 0.7 on its default setting

i also keep my stabilizer (()) on zero because it makes thing more loose and flowey and i feel like it helps me relax when i draw instead of death gripping my tablet pen as i stress over everything being pERFECT

SO UH hmmmm u mean like„ just a tutorial on my drawing process? okey dokey

sooo i start by sketchin my thing roughly with a light color

then i move up a layer and do lines and i always start with the face yeee ((i do little to no planning which is prob a bad idea but hEY WHATEVER WORKS)) i also usually do colored lines as opposed to black y know„„ just like whatever color i think will fit the “”mood”” im goin for ((like here im usin dark blue because because aoba. the blue boy. ol blueba.)

then finish the basic lines and whatnot

sooo then i add more lines for details— for example i always put a shadow under the chin and darken the bits of hair that would be hit by the most shadows like the strands furthest from “”the camera”” and the bottom layers of ur subject’s hair…..basically yeah i just darken shadowy bits for emphasis. i also cross hatch things that will be darker colors, for example i crosshatched aoba’s shirt since it’s a dark blue

then i set the lineart layer to multiply which just means that when you put colors under your lines they turn darker so they won’t get swallowed by the color

SO NOW FLAT COLORS also idk this might be obvious but i uSED TO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE MAGIC WAND TOOL AND WHEN I FOUND OUT HOW TO USE IT IT BLEW MY MIND AND MADE DRAWIN LIFE SO MUCH EASIER SO IF I HAVE TO CHANCE TO MAKE AT LEAST ONE DRAWIN LIFE EASIER I WILL TAKE IT

basically it just lets you select sections and after youve selected it you use the bucket/fill tool thing to color large spaces quicker than if you did it by hand u feel me

voila

oK

YAY FLAT COLORS………. i suggest keeping your colors on different layers to keep things cleaner and easier like i have the hair on the top layer, then the shirt under that and the skin under both of those

soooo i don’t??? really shade a lot or do proper shading at all?? like i’ll add blushes and emphasize the neck shadow a lil more and make the hair shiney but that’s p much it lmao im lazy………… wait no i shade the white of the eyes and the iris too but THATS it

also!!! for the blushes ill just color drop the skin color then make it slightly darker and redder then i use the same pen i did for the lines and make it bigger then basically just lightly poke the canvas instead of strokes…. small paps instead of long brushes u feel. then just concentrate more paps where u want it darkest kinda like this

lmao it looks like a close up of a nipple

ANYWAY THEN!! after that i usually add the finishing touches like an overlay to kinda unify and brighten the colors and just give it that extra ZING

basically all u do is create a new topmost layer, fill it with the color you want as your overlay, then set the layer to overlay and fiddle with the opacity until it looks good to you. it really depends on the picture but more often than not my overlays veer in the direction of warmer colors like pinks/reds/yellows/ etc

so yeah then once i get the overlay how i like it i’m done!!! i hope this maybe helped u in some small way lmao
